If like me you have been working your way up from dinghies, trailer sailers and small weekenders and dreamed of owning a very safe and secure 32" yacht with out having to pay over £25,000 or spend £15,000 on what seems like a bargain, only to find out later you have bought a wreck, then Mellora may just be what you have been looking for.
I have really enjoyed the past 12 years of owning her as did the previous owner who sailed her for 13 years! She has been 100% reliable and still is. This year I had her refitted with more of the modern comforts, as well as some specials!
If you are looking for a yacht that will win you all the club silver then please look elsewhere and I hope you find a super light carbon fibre for this money! But in the right hands you will not be disappointed
On the other hand if you are looking for a yacht that can survive 20 foot plus seas, sail to the Azores and know you are going to survive them, please read on.
She is a heavy yacht and has been ideally suited for sailing the South West, North Devon Coastline, Irish Sea and Biscay. The list goes on and my daughter who is now 12 has sailed on her from the age of 4 months! She's been a Great family yacht and the only reason for selling is: We now want to move up to a 36 foot yacht.
